1099-B hard coded date to import

Anyway around the hardcoded date to download my 1099-B? Each year TT Desktop hard codes a date that I can import my 1099-B. It's always ready early, but TT will not let me import until the future date.

the release of 1099B data is driven by the brokerage it's not a hardcoded thing from Intuit.  You may have a 1099 in hand but it's a different data feed the brokerages need to prepare and provide so import is usually available later.

Thanks for the reply, but my version of Turbo Tax Desktop does not allow the 1099-B to be downloaded until the date that Schwab says it will be ready.  2-13(or whatever date Schwab says each year) shows up inside TT and if you try to login to Schwab or in years past E-Trade it skips to another page. Focres you to manual entry. I got the 1099-B today(2-13), but I could have downloaded it yesterday. I'm just curious why those dates are harecoded in the TT updates. It's been happening for years.

@golfotter right - you can't import til the date Schwab says that data will be ready.  every brokerage has a set date when they start releasing data for import.  some brokerages have earlier dates and if your 1099 is ready you can import, otherwise you have to wait.
