1040 Schedule 6 - Third Party Designee

I help my sister who is a US Citizen and lives overseas file/prepare her taxes using TurboTax Home & Business. I'm not an accountant or a paid preparer.

We cannot submit her return electronically since her husband is a foreign national and does not have a social security number or TIN. We have to print/mail the returns and type "NRA" under the box for his social security number.

If she adds me as a third party designee on form 1040 Schedule 6, do I have to sign the returns as well under "Paid Preparer Use Only" or anywhere else?

I appreciate your reply.

Thanks,

No, you do not file the return anywhere.  TurboTax is for self-preparers only.  TurboTax is not intended for use by paid preparers.
