Work from home deduction

I was a W-2 full-time employee for the entire year 2021. I worked at home for the entire year (2021). I have a designated area for remote work at the apartment I rent.

For my 2021 income tax return, can I deduct a portion of my rent and utilities for teleworking at home?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Sorry no.  Employee job deductions are no longer allowed.

The prevalence of work-from-home (WFH) days is increasing as a result of technological advancements. More often than not, employees can work remotely from home when they are ill, taking care of family members, or running errands. Even though having the option to work from home is a great perk, it's crucial that you and your team have the appropriate software tools in place to make sure you can still accomplish your objectives even when taking WFH days into account.

This is especially true if unavoidable circumstances require you or a member of your team to miss a significant amount of work. As we are currently witnessing the coronavirus outbreak, this can happen to an individual or to entire businesses.

maybe the moderators will remove this thread since it's an ad, not a tax question.
