Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO)

I am using Turbo Tax Premier 2024 and unable to locate where to enter my Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) Donation.

 

I noticed other Turbo Tax users have found where to enter their (SGO) donation but I cannot.  They must be using Turbo Tax Online or some other version of Turbo Tax.

You can deduct charitable donations if you make them to qualified organizations and you itemize your deductions.

To itemize, you need to:

  • Keep track of what you contributed to charity during the year
  • Maintain supporting documentation, such as receipts

To get started, enter your SGO your donations into TurboTax. 

TurboTax Online

  1. Open or continue your return.
  2. Go to donations to charitable organizations.
  3. Select the Yes button to answer the question: Did you make any donations to charity in 2024 ?
  4. If you have an account with ItsDeductible, select Yes to begin the process of importing your donation information; if you select No, continue to the next step.
  5. Follow the onscreen instructions to finish entering your donations.

Hi Sabrina,

 

Yes, I wasn't going far enough through Ohio tax questions.

 

I found the heading Personal, Home and Family Credits then I found Scholarship Donation Credit.
