The IRS wants all taxpayers to answer the question, whether you have children or not. Enter zero (0) and continue with the onscreen interview until complete. This should correct your return.

I deleted the form but every time I delete and run review it comes back. I have no child dependents
Make sure there are no dependents listed on your return first. You can double check this in the Personal Info section or by previewing your Form 1040. Those instructions are for the Online versions. If you are using the desktop version, use Forms Mode to view any of your forms.
If there are no dependents listed, you may have accidentally told TurboTax that you received advance payments. But you can correct this by going through the Child Tax Credit section in TurboTax. To get back to this section to review it, search for Child Tax Credit and use the Jump to Child Tax Credit link to be taken to those questions and go through carefully making sure to indicate that you nor your spouse received any advance payments.
I am having the same problem. It keeps coming back. Please help.
Are you sure it is the Form 8812 that keeps reappearing or is it possible, it is Form 2441 - Dependent Care Credit? If you are taking the Dependent Care Credit, do not delete it, but if you started that section erroneously and attempt to delete the form, it will return if the section if half completed.
An incomplete Form 2441 will be created if you start the Child and Dependent Care section but don't complete it. This can cause problems when attempting to file your return.
To resolve:
For form 8812, Child and Dependent Tax Credits, verifying you have no dependents listed and make sure to go through the Child Tax Credit interview to check your answers regarding receiving advance payments, see above post. @user12422
How do I delete schedule 8812 because I don't have any Dependent children

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen
Click on Tools
Click on Delete a form
Delete Schedule 8812
A simple way to delete forms in TurboTax online is to use the Tax Tools menu option, which is on your left menu bar when you are working in your program. Then, choose Tools and then Delete a form.
If you are working in the download TurboTax program, use the Forms Mode on your menu bar to bring up the form you want to delete, then choose the Delete Form option at the bottom of the form.
easy way to fix is to go to deductions and make sure to go through child tax credit and ensure its "0".
There is no Delete Form option in the downloaded app version of the software. What is necessary to stop the program for asking for 8812?
This ABSOLUTELY fixes the error once you’ve deleted the form and then taken the action described. I’m using Mac CD/download.
I deleted the form in the form view format, but it still keeps telling me it is an error when I do a Federal Tax smart check. We do not and never had children. Seems to be a glitch with this year's Turbo Tax Premier?
Since you do not have any children you can enter 0 in Schedule 8812 and it will not show any error.
Click on Forms and search for 8812, go to the form view and enter 0 in line 14 f.
EVERYONE filing a tax return this year will have to visit the CTC section of the program even if they are not claiming any dependents on the 2021 return because the program cannot KNOW who got a CTC advance last year.
This goes for the third stimulus payment as well ... EVERYONE will need to answer those RRC questions.
And with the changes to the EIC more taxpayers will be eligible for it this year ... it is important to visit this credit as well.
Failure to complete any of these sections will result in error messages when you get to the REVIEW tab and you cannot efile with those errors.
So everyone needs to complete all sections of the TT interview and not skip the deductions & credits section this year even if they have in the past.
For our joint return, we had to enter $0 in 8812, 12 B 2 (spouse) ; B 1 (taxpayer) was already $0.
Thanks everyone. I went back and input 0. It indeed worked. Problems solved.
We do not have children nor have claimed any children linked to the Child Care Credit, yet Schedule 8812 always returns after deleted the Tax Form, "Save", "Close" TurboTax downloaded Mac version and reboot computer. Despite that, Schedule 8812 reappears.
Something is not working correctly.

If the TurboTax program is asking for an entry on a Schedule 8812 field, then just enter a 0 (zero) and continue. Do not run Smart Check again after entering the 0's on the 8812.
If you read earlier posts on this subject, you will have your answer. The instructions fixed this issue for me.
Sorry to report but have followed your directions and when placing a 0 in the Schedule 8812 box, the screen does not change, demanding and amount.

TurboTax needs to look at its program! I first replied wrongly that I had not received the Covid Relief payment, so TurboTax increased my federal refund amout by $2800! I fixed finally found/retraced to the question about the covid relief corrected it to "yes" received. Turbotax dropped the added $2800 federal refund but now insists I correct entries in the Child Credit Schedule 8812 (but I have no child credit! Won't let me finish taxes unless I correct 8812! I followed Turbotax suggestions to delete 8812 but it keeps coming back!
I am convinced Turbotax has a program error that conflates the covid stimulous with 8812 child credit!
I solved it!!!!!! Go back to Deductions. When you get to the screen that first cites the $1,400 (filing for Single) or $2,800 (filing for Married Couples) ... Click NO, Continue. The next screen asks if you received a March Stimulus payment ... Click YES, Continue. You are now done.
The hangup for me was this form so deleting Schedule 8812 does nothing other than aggravate people.
