If the mileage deduction is for your employer it can be used as an itemized deduction under Job Expenses for W2 income.

If the mileage if for a self employment activity or a Form 1099-MISC it can be used on your business schedule.

These expenses are not allowed on a Form 1040EZ or a Form 1040A which is used in TurboTax Free Edition. In either case above, if these expenses are used on your return then an upgrade will be necessary. For itemized deductions the version TurboTax Deluxe will work for you, for self employment TurboTax Self Employed will work for you.
