Medicare Premium Deduction

We get our Medicare supplemental insurance from my wife's previous employer that she retired from. Does this qualify as a employer health plan? I am wondering, as I operate a Schedule C business and need to know if i can deduct my Medicare premiums as a business expense or not.

Medicare premiums are eligible for the self-employed health care deduction.  If your wife's Medicare supplement is paid for with after tax funds, then it is deductible.  If, on the other hand, it is paid for with pretax dollars (i.e. a pre-tax deduction from a pension or other retirement plan distribution), then it is not eligible to be deducted.
