Medicare extra help

My mother-in-law (91) lives with us and receives extra help toward prescriptions from Medicare. What impact will that have on her if we claim her as a dependent for the tax credit (2021)?

Being a dependent does not affect her Medicare. Is there some other supplemental plan that might be affected?

Thanks for your response Coleen. My main concern is the "extra help" she receives for Part D. I want to make sure there's not any negative consequences to her, like reducing the amount of extra help she receives. Does my question make sense?

Where does the extra help come from? You may want to contact the agency that provides it.
