When we enter medical, glasses, dental, etc.  do we just enter 1 total for all  per person or does it ask for individual charges  like medical, drugs, dental, eye care, etc?

The IRS does not want individual transactions. You will be asked to aggregate all your prescriptions into one number, ditto with doctor bills, hospital bills, lab work, eye care, etc.

Of course, you are expected to keep documentation that supports these numbers in your own tax files, but the tax return does not have space for every single detail.

Just aggregate the expenses In TurboTax and go on.
