Education expenses

Grad student, full time for Spring 2020, had educational expenses of $500. After graduation, took one course, as a non-degree student at another college to further education.  Expense of tuition of $900 for that course. Are both of these expenses deductible?

    Yes, you might qualify for the Lifetime Learning Credit for both education expenses. Please see Who is eligible for the Lifetime Learning Credit? and What expenses qualify for the Lifetime Learning Credit? for details.

     

    Please follow these steps to enter your education expenses:

    1. Login to your TurboTax Account 
    2. Click on the Search box on the top and type “1098T”
    3. Click on “Jump to 1098T”
