I have a 17 year old son he was 16 when I filed TurboTax also I only got unemployment for the year give me my child tax credit do you have a credit for a child I never received the payment July like they said well I get paid for my son I already had to do an amendment for the earned income credit go back to 2019 cuz I heard a little bit

In 2020 the age requirement was under age 17.   However, the new requirement for 2021 is under age 18. 

Here is a link to some frequently asked questions.  Look at B3 and B8 to determine if you are eligible for the Child Tax Credit.

IRS will determine, based on your 2020 tax return if you are eligible for the 'Advanced Child Tax credit payments.  If you are eligible and did not receive all or any of the Advanced Payments, you will get the credit when you file your 2021 tax return.
