I have reviewed posts (last being Dec 9 2023 "How do I resolve a Check This Entry error on Form 4562?"). I am not able to resolve this error.
My Form 4562 line 13 from 2022 shows $2032 as does the 2023 Carryover worksheet line 24. This amount matches a single asset from 2022 (other 179 elections in 2022 were accepted).
"How do I resolve a Check This Entry error on Form 4562?" post instructions to find the form "Sec 179 Limit", but the form does not exist.
I initially had 2 new assets under 179 and a 3rd asset without election. I changed removed the 179 elections but no difference. 2 other assets were terminated, neither was a 179 election.
Is there another remedy? Is the best path to amend 2022 removing the at issue 179 election for this asset?
