capital gains

1. Why are my capital gains figured as 13,359 and then on summary sheet it's 15,161 when counted on total income.

2. Also, why is my soc. sec. non-taxable income counted as income?

3.  Why isn't my foreign tax paid figured in the amount paid?

2)  depending on your income level, up to 85% of social security is indeed taxable.

You didn't answer my question.  Why do I have a total of $13,359 of capital gains and then on the total income page, it's $15,161.  Why?

what schedule and what line is the $13, 359 on?

what schedule (I presume 1040) and what line is the $15,161 on?
