1095-A Question

I received my 1095-A and it only has amounts listed in the first 3 months.  April-December, lists zero.  I was moved to an Essential Plan, as my income was low enough to qualify, and the state automatically moved me.  For the whole year, my income was within the range for that Essential Plan.

When I enter the 1095-A in turbo tax, I put the amounts in for the first 3 months, and put zeros for the rest, since that's what the form says.  When I do that, TT says I owe money.  I don't think that's correct, since I was moved to the Essential Plan because my income was too low to be considered for the premium tax credit.

How am I supposed to enter this?

It sounds like you are entering it correctly.

As for if it is calculating correctly or not, that is impossible to say without seeing the Form 8962.  If you want to post screenshots of Form 8962 (with all personal information removed, such as you name, address and Social Security number removed), perhaps somebody can explain it to you.
