Will Not Except Credit Card Payment

I can't get Turbo Tax to except my credit card payment. I tried multiple cards.

Same! Been 2 weeks and it's very frustrating. Keeps saying we've hit a snag no matter what I do!

Same here. Called and talked to support last week, they believed it was in their system, and they were going to look into it. Tried paying again this week, same thing.

Can you please reply here and let us know what you're trying to pay? Is this a payment for TurboTax fees, federal taxes due, or state taxes due?

I was trying to pay for filing my California state return. I tried three different credit cards. I went to manage accounts and tried to up the information there that didn't work.  I tried days later thinking maybe there was a glitch in your system and it would be resolved.  Finally my solution was to create an account for my wife and that finally worked.  I saw a bunch people complaining on the forum that they could enter their credit card information.  Some said they were going to look for different tax prep software next year.  Others printed out their state return and mailed the paper documents.  Seems really basic that a company would have a way to update customer's credit card information.  Really ridiculous Intuit.

If you are trying to make the payment for the Turbo Tax fees and cannot do so online, please contact us by phone.

Spent a while last weekend on the phone with one of your representatives already. Then spent an hour on hold yesterday waiting to talk to someone. I don't have time like that to waste. You have a problem, fix the problem. I don't know what more information I can give you anyways, other than how frustrating this is.

Contacted you multiple times, posted multiple times on your blog, spent hours on the phone on hold waiting for someone to help me. At this point, you should waive the $20.00 state filing fee for me. Please contact me direct.

Just spent another hour on the phone with one of your representatives. He was unable to process my payment either. The time I have spent trying to pay $20.00 to e-file my state taxes with you is totaling near 3 hours now. This is unacceptable! Someone should contact me now, and waive the fee and allow me to be done with this!

Help article:

  1. Have the customer look for special characters in any field, such as colons or semicolons.
  2. Have the customer verify that the billing information matches that of the bank, including:
    • Name
    • Street Address
    • Zip Code
      • IMPORTANT: The address information must match exactly what is at the bank. Look for differences such as: Ave vs. Avenue or P.O. Box vs. PO Box. AND, the address must match at the bank, in the Intuit Account Section of TTO, in the Tax Info section of the return, and on the payment screen.
  3. Make sure the customer isn't using prefilled information saved by the browser and isn't copy/pasting the information. Have them clear the fields completely and then re-type the information.
  4. Have the customer verify that the funds are available on the card.

If none of the above resolves the issue, have the customer try a different card.

Customers who have questions about why a specific card is not being accepted should contact their bank.

This problem continues and now I a not even able to pay through the phone support to file my State Tax. 

Intuit - please solve this problem for a basic function any on-line business should have in 2021!!!

I have used Turbo Tax for over 25 years and after the experience this year I will have to find another way to get them done. each and every year there is a new hitch to getting my taxes done through Turbo Tax and the filing this year is a calamity of screwed up problems with their service. It will take a lot to get me to come back to Turbo Tax. I am done

Are you getting an error message?  Are you using TurboTax Online?  If so, try this to see if this clears you to proceed:

 

  • Log completely out of Turbo Tax. 
  • Then, clear your cache and cookies within your browser and completely close out of it.  I have included the Help Articles below if you need assistance with clearing cache or cookies. 
  • Re-open the browser and log back into Turbo Tax and see if this fixes the situation.  
    • You can also try a different browser as well, or "incognito mode".

Tried to pay for my second state return,but turbo tax would not accept my credit card.  Spend 2 hours on phone with TT rep. and nobody knows what was the problem.
