Despite various attempts I'm unable to delete the wrong state (Illinois) from the 2025 desktop premier version. Because of this TurboTax wants to charge me $40 dollars to file and finish the correct state (California) when the software came with one free state return. I might have registered the wrong state while exploring whether or not to file a tax return for a family member who lives in Illinois and this, inadvertently might have registered the wrong state for which a tex return will not be filed in 2025.
