I recently moved from Texas to Delaware.  I am currently employed in Maryland.  I am told I have to file Maryland State Taxes 1st and will this information be available to me on my Turbo Tax?

thanks

Hi Etaylor4502,

Yes, TurboTax will take care of your multi-state situation if you indicate in the Personal Info section:

your resident state at 12/31/2021 is Delaware; you moved from TX to DE on xx/xx/2021. At the end of Personal Info, please answer YES on question if you make money in other state > Maryland.

You should work on (1) nonresident MD state return first;  (2) then part year DE state return.

Assume your MD income coincides with your DE move, you can take "credit for taxes paid to other state" in the part year DE return for the taxes paid to MD as a nonresident.

Hope this helps.
