TAXES FOR MINOR

My 16 year old received a w2 for working short term at a retail store.  Her wages totaled $328.05 on her w2- My question is am I required to file taxes for her?

No. She is not required to file a tax return since her income is less than $13.850.

If any taxes were withheld from her wages she should file a return to get a refund for the taxes withheld.

No.

You can still claim her as your dependent.

But if she has taxes withheld reported in box 2 of her W-2, she can file a tax return to obtain a refund of taxes withheld.

Thank you.  No taxes were withheld federally or at the state level.
