State Filing

Hi. I am from Michigan, and still have a Michigan Drivers License. I worked in Georgia all of 2021. I never changed my drivers license because it was supposed to be a temporary job, part of 2021. I ended up staying until the end of the year, and my last day was December 26th.

Which state do I file as nonresident, and which state do I file as resident?

Your drivers license does not determine which state you file a tax return in.   If you lived and worked in GA for all of 2021 then you file GA tax return.   Sounds like you did not live or work in MI during 2021.   If you had no 2021 Michigan sourced income you have no reason to file a MI tax return.
