Software hangs when I try to pay for state e-file with credit card. Was able to file US taxes electronically by themselves. Went back to try state alone and same problem. I get a pop-up window in the TurboTax app that says it will take me to the online store. My system switches to an open browser but nothing opens. The TT pop-up is frozen. Close pop-up and try again, same deal. Tried clearing cookies and cache, restarting app, rebooting. Got tech support who advised changing screen resolution and there may be something to that. It may just not be displaying properly, making it look like it is frozen but I tried many different resolutions and could never get it to work. I'm putting a lot of my effort into trying to give Intuit my $25. You think they would make THAT part easy.
Just an update on this issue. I found that by changing screen resolution and then going back to the TurboTax popup, I could then see an updated screen, though it was still not dynamically updating while I typed. So, what I could do was to carefully type in a response even though I could not see what I was typing, change screen resolution, then go back to the TurboTax pop-up screen and what I typed would be there. I could hit the accept button, change screen resolution again and when I went back to the pop-up, the screen would have been updated. This was a very unsatisfying way to fill out a form but eventually I got through it. BUGGY SOFTWARE like this should not be released.
