Schedule KW2

I downloaded my tax documents after e-filing my returns a couple days ago and noticed something strange. My form 1040,8949, and 740 seemed to all be correct but my schedule KW2 showed that I filed the same W2 twice, except there was a $10 difference between the KY state wages on the schedule KW2. What do I need to do to resolve this? The return has also already been accepted by federal and state

It depends.

You would only need to file an amended return if the overall tax changes between the return you filed that was accepted and the amended return should you determine the amounts were not reported correctly.

I would recommend reviewing your return to ensure the amounts reported on your income tax return match your source documents.  For example, the wage and withholding amounts would be important.  If they do, you may not need to do anything.  If they do not match, you may need to file an amended return to ensure everything is only reported one time.

Do I need to amend?

How to amend my return?

The wages and federal tax withheld are the same on the W2s and 1040. For the 740, the difference occurs on line 31 where it says “enter ky income tax withheld as show on enclosed KW2” where it seems to double my state income tax (box 17 of w2) and then list the two same W2s on the schedule KW2.
