Schedule K-1 shareholder info

I can't efile CA state tax for some reason - it kept saying Shareholder 2 info not valid in Schedule K-1 worksheet, while we have only 1 shareholder in the form, 100% ownership. How to fix that? Thank you

Here's a screenshot of the page --

If you have only one shareholder, Sch K-1 Wks page 2 should be entirely blank. Go back to Step-by-Step and review your entries under Business Info >> Partner/Member Information. Make sure you have only one partner on the Member Summary page. Delete a blank entry that has only "Edit / Delete" buttons.

Then review the federal Sch K-1 Wks in Forms mode to be sure the second page is totally blank. The state Sch K-1 Wks should be the same.

It's always been one shareholder only --

You should revisit the California tax return interview to see if you accidentally entered something in the shareholder information section by mistake.

The shareholder information should roll forward from the Federal return. The other option is to delete the shareholder information in Federal. Then log out, clear cache, and reenter the information again in Federal.

 1. what's "California tax return interview"?

all the data were transferred from Federal Return, there's no places for me to enter any shareholder info in State Tax section --

2. I actually did delete the shareholder in Federal section and re-enter before posting the question, and just repeated the step again, not working.

It seems there's a bug there keeping me from efiling the state return. Thank you

See if you can fix this in Forms Mode.

  1. Open your return and click the Forms icon in the TurboTax header.
  2. Scroll down in the left column to California and open Sch K-1 Wks in the large window.
  3. The screenshot you posted earlier shows a number 2 on the Shareholder Number line for the second shareholder.
  4. Delete the number on the Shareholder Number line. There should be no red boxes in that section.
  5. Click Step-by-Step in the header to return to the main interview screens.
  6. Run Review under California, then try e-filing again.
