Sales tax deduction

I pay non-resident income tax in Kansas but am resident in Texas.  Is my non-resident income tax for Kansas used as an offset for my sales tax in Texas? ... or can I claim both?

You will get a State income tax deduction or state sales tax deduction, but not both.   So TurboTax will give you the higher of the two amounts.
