Remote work unemployment

I worked remote in Florida for a company in Michigan.  Michigan taxes were withdrawn, but I got a full refund for having done the work in Florida.  After I got laid off, I tried to seek unemployment from Florida, who denied me because they had no wages on record for me for the prior year.  That stands to reason since the taxes were withdrawn by Michigan.  So my question is, am I eligible for unemployment benefits from Michigan even though I ultimately didn't pay state taxes to Michigan?  Thank you.

This is not a tax question. For information about eligibility for Michigan unemployment benefits you have to contact the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA).
