New Jersey State return is completely nuts!

I was almost finished my State Tax form and it checked for errors. Fine. It flagged three items which then allowed me to fix.

It mentioned the property Block , Lot and Municipality Code needed to be entered. I entered them and rechecked again for errors. The program then flagged these items and said these entries had to be blank. Ok, I blanked them and again the same flags. this time again, said to enter these entries. Recalculated for errors and again, was told to enter these items. had to be blank! What's going on people? For years I've had no problems like this. Please explain what your mental midget programmers are up to!

I was the Deluxe version. I think I figured it out. The blocks in question are in the worksheet. I here are a few questions on occupancy before that. I thought I'd answer them. Just check boxes, and that cleared that problem. These questions weren't asked during the step by step process. Maybe that's the fix?

Yes, entering information into the worksheet can fix errors. I don't know whether you are using CD/Download or are seeing the worksheet in TurboTax online, but either way, you can enter information directly onto the worksheet.

If you were getting errors, it may be related to how you originally filled out the qualification questions, especially if you were not a homeowner for the entire year.
