I live in DC and work in VA

I am completing my DC taxes when I run a check and I get questions that I have to fill in for a VA 760 form non-resident.  I know I don't have to pay taxes in VA only to DC but why all of a sudden does a VA form pop up. And it wants me to file it also. I have filed my taxes with turbo tax for the last 5 years and lived in DC for the last 5 years and this never happened with Turbotax, why now.? No residency change, nothing different.  I am feeling that Turbotax just had a glitch of some kind , please explain. Thank you

If you do not have to file a Virginia return because you file in DC, you can simply delete the form from your return.  It may have been generated if you indicated that you worked in Virginia.

That's the rub, I never indicated anything differently with Turbotax this year. I live in DC and work in Virginia. My W2 says the same thing.  My address is DC.  I think there is a glitch with Turbotax to all of a sudden spin up another filing for no apparent reason.
