GA tax issue

Having two problems with TT.  I moved to GA in April from FL.  I had (rounded) 78,000 of 1099-R qualified pension with 43,000 attributed to GA.  I entered this correctly.  My wife had zero retirement attributable to GA. The pension exclusion gave me 3,120 deduction and my wife a 13,614 deduction.  Second problem, keeps telling me I have an unallocated adjustment of 54,000, which is exactly the amount of social security I input on one of the first screens of the state tax.

If you entered in the My Info/Personal Info section of the program that Georgia was your resident state and that you lived in another state, Florida, you should have entered the date you moved to Georgia.

After completing the Federal tax return and Federal Review you would have to complete the Georgia tax return.  The interview in the Georgia program goes over all the items for completing a part year resident Georgia tax return.  Did you do this?

Yes did it multiple times.  Deleted state and started again.  Same resulting error.

Since Florida does not have a state income tax, all income that you received while a Georgia resident is taxable on a GA return.  This includes all taxable pension income reported on a form 1099-R and the taxable amount of your SS income reported on your federal tax return, Form 1040 Line 6a
