This means that the spouse or RDP (second person listed on a joint tax return) was listed on a previously filed California tax return.
Carefully check the name, date of birth and social security number of the spouse. If everything is correct, you may have to print and mail in the tax return.
Was your joint federal tax return e-filed and accepted?
Yes it was accepted, reviewed State return and spouse SNN is correct. under what happened it shows
Data Vaule = Spouse SNN is [social security number removed] is that the SSN number the state has spouse SSN ? if so that number is incorrect. Also if that is a SNN why would (Turbo Tax) have that information show up on the email visible
They wouldn't. Sounds like a phishing scam email.
Forward the email in its original form to the IRS at phishing@irs.gov.

I'm also having this problem. I don't think it's a phishing scam, although I could be wrong. I have re-submitted my state return several times, and it keeps getting rejected saying that my spouse's SSN already has been filed for.
If you've verified that your spouse’s SSN was correct as you entered it, and you e-file again, the IRS'’s (and probably your state’s) e-File system will almost surely reject your return once more. Your only option at that point would be to paper-file your returns, sending them in to the IRS and state, as appropriate.
Please see the TurboTax Help article "E-file rejections related to incorrect or duplicated names, birth dates, or Social Security numbers" for additional information on why your return might be rejecting.
