Confirming NY State Tax computation

I'm using the desktop version of TurboTax this year, previous years I've used a different tax program.  I like to confirm tax computation so downloaded the NY State it201i-2022.pdf instructions for filing from

Instructions for Form IT-201, Full-Year Resident Income Tax Return, New York State • New York City • Yonkers • MCTMT, (including instructions for Forms IT-195 and IT-201-ATT) - it201i-2022.pdf

 I followed those directions and filled in the numbers for my tax bracket and couldn't get the number computed by the program.  Can someone confirm that the computation is OK or give me the formula used to get from  IT201 line 38 to IT201 line 39
