Can not complete State Taxes

Hello,

I was able to e file and complete my Federal taxes but, can’t do the same with State taxes. Why is this happening?

Depends on the state...and the exact forms in your state file.

 

Some states wont accept anything yet....some are delayed for certain forms.

Hello Dave,  I have used Turbo Tax over the past 7-8 years and have not had any issues.  This year is the first time I am being required/directed to complete split individual filings. I don’t understand why do not have the computer savvy to do so. Downloading apps and creating dummy files is beyond my skill level. Bill Bender

I'm not sure what you mean by "split individual filings?", can you elaborate please?

Are you trying to file as MFS instead of Joint?  Or file federal as  Joint and separate state returns?  Are you in a community property state?  Those have special rules.

 

Are you using the Online version or did you install the Desktop program?
