CA Form 3514

In doing review of my 2019 returns, TurboTax comes up with an error on my CA 540. It is asking for the details of a business that is related to Business Income from Schedule 1, Line 3, Form 1040, to be entered on CA Form 3514. There is NO business income on my Form 1040. Neither am I now or have I ever field for EITC. I am unable to proceed with filing my return until I resolve this issue. Help Please.

Does your tax return include income from a 1099-Misc even if it is not reporting self-employment income?

No it does not include any 1099-Misc. My income is from W-2 wages, investments with 1099-R (dividends, interstate's, capital gains) and two K-1s.

You can look to see if a blank schedule C is included in your return and delete it if so as follows:

1. Find the Tax Tools option on your left menu bar and click on it

2. Click on Tools

3. Find Delete a Form and click on it

4. Look for Schedule C in the list of forms and click on the option to delete it
