CA e-file for $250!!!

I just finished my 2024 tax returns and was going to e-filed my federal/state return.  But Turbotax seems to demand a $250 fee (plus applicable sales tax) just to e-file my California return.   This year I've seen the state e-filing fee should be $25.  But $250!!!!! Are you kidding me?!!!! Is that any bug????

If you are using the TurboTax desktop editions, the state e-file fee is $25.

Can you give a screenshot of where you are being asked to pay $250 just to e-file the tax return?

This is the what you should see to pay the $25 e-file fee with a credit card -

Are you using the Desktop program?   Must be a typo on the screen.  A couple years ago there was a typo for that.   Haven’t seen any one else reporting that.   I got charged the $25 to efile state.   Try updating your program, go up to Online-Check for updates.   And I would clear your cache and cookies and reboot your computer.

Yes, I´m using a desktop version. There are no updates available. It´s not only a typo, if I proceed to the e-filling, the fee is $250

Wow you are the first person to catch that. Maybe it got into a recent update.   Or you need to update since it says increase expected March but it is now after March.

If your program says it's up to date or you can't update it then do the Manual Update for Windows

I would continue on and see what it says on the actual payment screen.  Oh I see you did post that screen too.
