Reporting Income When Applying for Grants & Loans

I have a sole proprietorship, so the income from my business is included in my personal taxes. I would like to apply for grants to grow my business but they all ask for business taxes as part of the application to track business income. Is there a way to only share the taxes from my business when applying for grants and loans even though I have a Sole Proprietorship? I'm not sure how else to share my financial information to apply for small business funding.

Hi, @AniTar1 , thanks for the question. There is one portion of your tax return that details your net business income. It's called Schedule C, Profit or Loss from Business. If they will accept it, that is one way that you could share only your business income and expenses.

Hope this helps, please let me know if not!

Thank you! Do you have any recommendations of free or low-cost platforms to track business costs that can help streamline reporting?

I'm a little biased, @AniTar1 , but I'm awfully partial to QuickBooks. 😉
