Mailbox and State Taxes

Hello,

I have a single member LLC registered in Wyoming.

I also have a mailbox address in Oregon. I earn no revenue from Oregon and do not have a physical presence there. Do I need to file a Tax form for Oregon?

Best,

Coumba

Hi, @coumbak , thanks for the question! As a general rule, you only need to file state taxes on self-employment income that was earned from work done in that state. So if you did not do any of this work in Oregon, then you should not have a filing requirement. It's also worth noting that the state where your LLC is registered does not generally affect state taxation, either. It's all about where the work is done.

Hope this helps, please let me know if not!
