My business is no longer functional and my car is now 100% personal. It was actually always less than 50% Business use. On the section where I used to enter milage expense, I am entering 0 miles . When the program does error check it keeps wanting me to enter business miles, there are zero business miles. The program wanted this section filled out even though I specifically checked the box for zero business use in 2022.
How do I get the program to let me past this point.
Using Home&Business
You need to dispose of the car. Since you converted it to personal use for this calendar year then it is sold for zero dollars on January 1.
Same problem with Turbotax deluxe. After disposing of the car on 1/1/22, it still requires non-zero on car and truck expense worksheet, line 6a.
Since you disposed of the vehicle on 1/1/22 you must also show line 5c of your Car & Truck Expenses Worksheet as a 0 as well as line 6a.
