1040ES payments when married, filing jointly

My spouse is self empoyed, we are filing jointly. Can he use his bank account to pay 1040ES (using IRS DirectPay) . Does it matter who makes 1040ES payments?

Yes, he may use his bank account to make the estimated payments.  Since you are filing a married filing joint return it does not matter who makes the payment as long as the taxpayer social security number is associated with the payment.

How do I make estimated tax payments?
