When will the below be fixed for online users? Error in Review: Elective deferrals is more than the allowed $18500 for 401k plan.

I have worked with customer service twice (for well over 2 hours), but only suggestion is to use the desktop product (not an option for me) instead of the online/browser version.

Turbo tax will not let me file due to the excess contribution (which was refunded in early 2019 and has been properly added back to taxable income as a 1099R for 2018).

Please fix, or provide a refund.

Edit - I understand there is no fee for online filing.  However, I purchased TurboTax so I could e-file.  Not having this option is unacceptable. Either fix the software, or allow me to be issued a refund.

Additional interview screens have been added to make the process of correcting excess contributions easier and less confusing.

Unfortunately,  customers who had excess 401(k) contributions withheld will need to paper-file, even after taking the corrective steps.  We don't charge an e-filing fee in TurboTax Online.

When you pay for TurboTax Online, you're charged a tax preparation service fee. The prep fee is charged whether you e-file or print and mail your return.
