TIAA-CREF 2022

for 2022, I got summary tax pages for distribution codes 4 and 7. Can I enter the summary gross and taxable amounts for 4 and 7 codes or must I enter each of my 9+ individual contracts ?

We'd love to help you complete your tax return but need more information. Can you please clarify your question?

  • What form are you trying to enter?
    • 1099-R
    • 1099-B
    • Other

OK, I found my way back. Yes, 1099-R. I can't get through to IRS. I have 7 distribution code 7s on one document that has a total taxable amount (and gross) along with the 7 individual amounts. Can I use the total gross and total taxable for all 7 together instead of inserting each individually? all 1099-Rs.

I hope this explains it.

Yes, you can enter a summary if you choose to do that and if they are from the same payer.  If not, it would be best to enter each one with the correct payer.

An alternative would be to enter them as one entry and then mail your tax return to include a copy of each one, as well as including each document that might have any federal withholding.

I marked what I thought was the best answer but I keep getting emails asking me to mark the best answer.

I have done what was asked and am finished. Thanks to those who replied. I had no idea that one request would result in a dozen TurboTax emails, from the company, that is.
