South carolina return

I am trying to finish filing but it keeps demanding I put in information for excess withdrawal from a Catastrophe Savings Accounts of I which I do not own. But puting in 0 or any other amount does not satisfy the automated system.

You can review your South Carolina State Return from the beginning.  There may have been a question about a contribution or distribution from a Catastrophe Savings Account that you marked incorrectly.

If you're using TurboTax Online, close the program, clear your Cache and Cookies and return to this section.

Here's more info on South Carolina Catastrophe Savings Account.

Hey I have went back and reviewed the state tax questions again when I review my answer for the owning a Catastrophe Savings account I hit no. Cleared the cache and tried to continue but the smart check system keeps asking for a number in boxes A and B for excess withdrawals from the account that does not exist.

I have been able to report South Carolina Catastrophe Savings Account Withdrawals, both:

  • Withdrawals due to contributions more than the allowable limits, and
  • Withdrawals more than needed to cover qualified catastrophe expense.

I have been able to add withdrawals, change withdrawals and remove withdrawals with no adverse problems with the software.

If you are still experiencing these issues, I would agree with @MarilynG1 to close the program and clear cache and cookies.
