RMD

I don't understand what I am doing wrong and TurboTax won't send my federal file electronically.    

Required RMD amount:  30,230

Amount distributed: 33,000 

I keep getting a message that says RMD cannot be less than amount distributed.  Shouldn't it be the other way around and amount distributed shouldn't be less than required RMD?

To get around certain annoying issues with TurboTax 2024, just state that whatever you took out was exactly the RMD.

 

This works as long as you did not try to rollover the extra amount.
