I started remodel my rental at late 2022.
in mid 2023 remodel finishes, house is livable, and rented out. however the final building inspection is not done so from city's perspective the remodel is not done.
I plan to get final inspection in 2024 and make it final.
should I report the remodel cost in 2023 or 2024?
