Radio button behavior

Entering 1099-Rs, I select NY City or State Education as source for funds.

When I go back to edit, I find it has changed to Government/Military.

How do I get it to keep my choice?

I'm not quite sure what area you are in the program.

Are you on the screen labeled Enter (YOUR) 1099-R.

Are you referring to the U.S. Address vs. Foreign Address button.

Please double check the Federal ID Number.  If it was incorrect the IRS may be posting what is in their Data Base.

I know this may not completely answer your question, please contact us again and provide some additional details.

@JohnB5677   Probably referring to this page(Below...picture from a prior year))

@pheymont     if the radio button provides the same income exemption, it probably isn't critical...but yeah, some buttons reset if you go thru the Q&A for that 1099-R form again....if you don't need to edit the form..set it and leave it alone.

If you edit or review a 1099R it does not keep your answers from before but resets them to the defaults. Then you have to go through and answer them all again. So be sure to go all the way to the end of the 1099R section. They are right unless you go back.

TT should *never* revert back to defaults once you've answered the question. That this still isn't fixed is, to be polite, puzzling. It means you can never check your work. You must always redo your work.
