I have an overflow W-2 form because box 12 has 5 items and the limit on the form is 4 (the overflow form is blank except for the box 12 item). Where do I enter the fifth box 12 item? Do I need to create a second W-2 with just the box 12 item?
In the program you can ADD another row on the W-2 to accommodate the extra entry ...
The programs should be the same but what codes do you have ?
I am using a MAC and cannot add an extra row to box 12 to add the code from the overflow W2. My codes are C, AA, D, W and DD. Should I ignore code C like mentioned above?
I have 7 different codes to put in box 12. Just ignoring one of the codes will not help me. Do you have another suggestion?
First you should be able to enter all the codes if you just add more lines ... still can't think why a MAC would be different .... but the codes that are a must ...A, B, M, N ... other that can effect the return are D, E, F, G, S, H, L, P, W, AA, BB, DD ... the rest don't mean anything on a return.

The MAC is version does not have an option to add lines. If I could post a picture I would. To repeat, I have 7 codes I need to enter. Can anyone help?
Ok ... what are the codes since some are not required as my other answer stated.
Yep, also on a Mac, same problem. Going to call TT support I guess.

Hi. I also have a MAC and just realized how to add a line to Box 12. Put your cursor within the four lines of Box 12 and scroll down (i.e., pull the four lines already populated upwards. You'll see a new blank entry line appear.
I actually added two additional lines without issue.
I THINK I've successfully added a screen shot of this.
THANK YOU!! It's not obvious at all that the area around the box 12 items can scroll. What a design FAIL!!! Hopefully this feedback can make it to their UX designers. I was already uneasy about being forced to use the "desktop" version this year (I usually use the online version, but didn't realize that wouldn't be an option when I bought the physical copy at Costco). I was really dreading having to type everything in manually, but figured I'd google the issue before I subjected myself to that. Luckily your post saved me, but I think I'll be sticking with the online version next year...
I will forward the feedback, thank you. I know it is a moot point now, but there is a way to transfer your data from Online to Desktop so you don't have to start from scratch. You can always go back to the Online software next year if you like that better though.
