Long Term Care

My LTC payments are reimbursements.

In the TurboTax “interview” there is no place to put “reimbursements”

TurboTax interview is forcing me to declare number of days and cost for care.

help!

In order to verify that the amount you received as a reimbursement for long-term care is not taxable, you must include the cost of the care for which you were reimbursed.  Otherwise, the distribution from the long-term care contract is considered to be taxable income.

You do not need to enter the number of days of care if it was not a per diem contract, only the cost of the care.
