That's what I did too. I downloaded the 1099 pdf forms from Vanguard and entered them manually.
Enter a 1099R under
Federal Taxes
Wages & Income
Then scroll way down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
Then IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R) – Click Start
Don't type the bank name or try to import it.
At the bottom pick - Change How I enter my Form
Then on the next screen pick - I'll Type it in Myself
This is for 2023 return. Apparently it was not available in 2022 either. Is this what other people have found?
Vanguard changed many accounts from their mutual fund platform to a brokerage account so you may have forms from both accounts for the same asset. I downloaded my tax forms directly from Vanguard and entered the data into TurboTax manually.
