I'm getting error on the Distribution code on my 1099-R (Box 7) when I enter it in. The code on my 1099-R is B2. Why won't Turbo Tax accept it?

The code in Box 7 of your 1099R is actually two codes.  Enter the B in the first box and then 2 in the second.  [See Screenshot #1, below]

If you are using the online version of TurboTax, click the box I have more than one value in Box 7. [Screenshot #2]  A second box will appear.

The code B indicates that this is not a distribution from a Roth IRA but is instead a distribution from a designated Roth account in a qualified retirement plan like a 401(k).  Make sure that you answer No to TurboTax's unnecessary and misleading question asking if this distribution is from a Roth IRA.
