How to correct amount for Florida Retirement System?

Why is turbo tax showing my 2023 retirement amount instead of 2024?

I suggest you look at your Form 1040 tax return.

From the left sidebar

  1. Select Tax tools
  • You may have to minimize both the Federal and State options by clicking the Down Arrows on the Sidebar.
  • You will then clearly see Tax Tools
  • Click the arrow to up to see additional options
  1. Click Tools
  2. A Menu will pop up
  3. Select View tax summary
  4. On the left panel click Preview my 1040
  5.  Line 4a, 5a & 6a have retirement information

If these reflect 2023 numbers you must go back and re-enter the 1099-Rs

If you haven't filed your tax return yet, you can simply go back to the 1099-R input screen and type over the old one.

Under Federal

  1. Wages & Income
  2. Scroll to IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R) [Add/Edit]
  3. Did you get a 1099-R in 2024? [yes]
  4. If you are adding a 1099-R [+ Add another 1099-R]
  5. The steps are the same from here
  6. [Change how I enter my form]
  7. [Type it Myself]
  8. If necessary chose a person [Continue]
