How do I take off the qualified retirement plan deduction?

I read the questions incorrectly and accidentally added the tax deduction credit for the qualified retirement plan/Retirement Savings Contribution Credit on my tax break list. I have tried Editing it and answering that we DID NOT contribute to a qualified retirement plan, but the tax break isn't  going away.

If you have not filed, simply remove the Form 8880 from the program.

To delete the form in the TurboTax online version:

  • Sign in to your account, select Pick up where you left off
  • On your left, Select Tax Tools / drop down menu
  • Select Tools
  • Under Other helpful links, choose Delete a form
  • Select Delete next to Form 8880 and Continue with My Return to proceed

I did that, but it didn't remove the form nor the entry on the list.

If you are trying to be rid of Form 8880, it will not delete. If you are entitled to have it, you can't just remove it. What you can do is disqualify yourself. You can state that you were a full-time student.
