How do I enter information from form 5498

I rolled over a 401K and a Roth 401K

You should have received a Form 1099-R for this conversion. You will enter the Form 1099-R in TurboTax:

 

  1. Click on "Search" on the top right and type “1099-R” 
  2. Click on “Jump to 1099-R”
  3. Enter Form 1099-R information and continue.
  4. On the "Did you move this money from a 401(k) to a Roth 401(k)?" screen answer "Yes" (assuming you have Code G in box 7)

Thank you! I thought the transfer was being treated as income but I guess the Box G signified that it was a rollover.
