hold me accountable - 2019 financial resolution

I have a resolution to not spend ANY money on weekends. I haven't been doing a great job...anyone else have a similar goal and want to try and keep eachother on track?

So, just to be clear, we're talkin $0.00 for both Saturday and Sunday? Which means no extra gas, no movies, no Amazon, no food out, no, well, nothing... intense.

I'm trying to save $50/week, so I'm admittedly intrigued.

What's the accountability measure? Weekly check-in post weekend of no spending?

Well - its Tues (not Mon) but here's my checkin. I ALMOST hit my goal. I went to dinner 1 night of the weekend but spent $0 on anything other than food.

Trying to keep it going through the week.

Saw tons of good frugal tips on your other thread @JBJ though, going to borrow some of those!

Nothing beats a, "I shoulda checked in on Monday but here I am on Thursday," check-in.

Weekend recap:

- Spent on lunch both Saturday and Sunday, but that was it. Total for the weekend: <$25.

- Admittedly pushed the need for a gas refill until Tuesday to keep the weekend tally low, but hey.

Normal weekend spend varies widely, but ~$22 is particularly low. Gonna try to squash one lunch this coming weekend.

Are you running it back this weekend?
